abstract
The paper defines the partial aim No. 6 of the project LC06046 Centre for basic research on schooling. The aim of the partial project is to identify the main factors that influence curricular development. Based on analyses of previous experience and our own research projects a theoretical model of curriculum will be proposed that will be confronted with the educational practice. The main focus will lie with the structure of curriculum, mainly the topic of competence. Methods will be proposed that appear to be most suitable for that purpose. The outputs of the partial project will serve as a source of inspiration for school educational programmes.
