Orbis scholae is an academic journal published by Charles University, Prague. It features articles on school education in the wider socio-cultural context. The study defines approaches towards the partial aim No. 7 of the project LC06046 Centre for basic research on schooling. The authors describe wider methodological context of the partial project by analysing existing approaches to research of teaching and learning. They also emphasise the specific contribution of the TIMSS video study and IPN video study. Individual steps towards developing teaching and learning research methodology (CPV video study methodology) are defined.
