abstract
The study analyzes the possibilities of theory of adult education in the conditions of teacher profession. It compares characteristics of learning organization with a relatively conservative school and class environment. It shows the differences of characteristics of adult and teacher learning caused by specific conditions of teacher profession, mainly by their isolation from colleagues, shortage of formative feedback, non-existence of teamwork and low self-confidence. It brings new ideas for application of andragogics in the system, methods and forms of continuing education of teachers.
