abstract
The paper deals with a new role of the teacher – designer of the school curriculum – for which most of our teachers are not properly prepared (due to the timing of the curricular reform). From the analysis of the school educational programmes, and also from the experience of working with teachers participating in the designing of these, the author points to some difficulties which might occur here. Also, a narrowed complex of competences is defined of the future teacher as a designer of school curricular programme, with regard to the above mentioned difficulties. The paper suggests certain remedies directed into the professional preparation of future teachers, which should improve their ability to become successful designers of the school curriculum.
