abstract
The key requirement of a successful implementation of curricular reform is the creation of such conditions that strengthen the teacher’s autonomy and support his/ her acceptance of the changes and his/her willingness to implement them. One of the important factors of this process is the area of teachers’ further education. The study brings the results of a survey among the primary school teachers administered in autumn 2006 in the South Moravian region of Czech Republic. The aim of the survey was to find out what areas of the creation of the school curriculum are considered problematic and what form of further education in these areas provided by the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University would be preferred.
