abstract
Modelling is traditionally part of the research methodology in natural science. It is not, however, quite commonly used in social sciences. The paper describes the basic requirements for the scientifi c model and outlines the possibilities of modelling in pedagogy. It points out and analyses some of the models which have been used to create the curriculum; also, it comes up with a system of successive partial models which resent the curricular movement from general concepts to an actual teaching model, as it is refl ected in the teacher’s preparation for the lesson. Th e overall system of these partial models is rendered in the synthesising model.
