Orbis scholae is an academic journal published by Charles University, Prague. It features articles on school education in the wider socio-cultural context. It aims to contribute to our understanding and the development of school education, and to the reflection of teaching practice and educational policy.
The journal is indexed in SCOPUS, CEEOL, DOAJ, EBSCO, and ERIH Plus.

abstract
Th is study deals with various relations between nowadays great social transformation towards knowledge society (information, learning society etc.) and its implications for the curriculum and curricular policy. The theoretical analysis brings together sociological and pedagogical perspectives and is mainly concerned with macro-level. Particular stress is put on the problem of new sources of social inequalities and equity in education.
