Časopis AUC Historia Universitatis Carolinae Pragensis s podtitulem „Příspěvky k dějinám Univerzity Karlovy“ je periodikum věnované nejen historii pražské univerzity, ale i dějinám vzdělanosti a studentského hnutí v českých zemích. Časopis vycházející od roku 1960 v rámci univerzitní řady Acta Universitatis Carolinae přináší také materiálové studie uveřejňující původní historické prameny (všechny stati jsou opatřeny cizojazyčnými, zpravidla německými a anglickými souhrny). Časopis otiskuje pravidelně recenze a anotace prací k dějinám vzdělanosti a kroniku badatelské činnosti.
Dlouhodobou archivaci digitálního obsahu časopisu zajišťuje Portico.

Abstract
Recollections of an American historian specialising in the European social history of nineteenth and twentieth century present the experiences and impressions of a ‘Western’ scholar, who worked in Prague archives, especially the Archive of the Charles University, in the 1970s and 1980s.
