abstract

This text will be focusing on the evaluation of the work of school leaders. Today’s accents related to the work of school leaders will be presented !rst. Then especi- ally the relation between evaluation and development, the bearings of evaluation, and the participative tendencies in the shaping of the evaluation processes will be discussed. Following is the description of the concept and design of evaluation tools, based upon a variety of examples from various countries. Concludingly, what can today be seen as purposeful features of the evaluation tools for the work of school leaders will be outlined. It is a survey study, mainly based on the analysis of related international resources.
