Orbis scholae is an academic journal published by Charles University, Prague. It features articles on school education in the wider socio-cultural context. It aims to contribute to our understanding and the development of school education, and to the reflection of teaching practice and educational policy.

abstract

The study discuses research strategy toward the partial aim No. 5 of the project LC 06046 Centre for basic research on schooling. The aim of the research is to identify real shape of Czech school functioning based on data acquired in authentic school environment and to continue for discovering of the potential of school change influenced by internal and external factors. The research will be performed by multi-case study of the sample of Czech basic schools.
