abstract

This report deals with one of the decisive factors in the school functioning – teachers and teaching sta!. It relies mainly on the research findings obtained in the investigation of multiple case study of a basic school. The potential and the role of the teachers in the current dynamics of change in school education are analyzed. It shows that required demands for teacher‘s work do not correspond with created external conditions and in the process of transformation the stress is placed more on the structural transformation than on the support to the teacher.
