abstract
The research is based on the conclusions of a series of research probes that had been realised by the team of the social pedagogy department in the last years. The author – using the quality research principles and using mostly the method of focus groups and interviews – describes social and cultural determinants that influence the Romany people. The description of the partial determinants was created in the context of the theory of social and cultural reproduction and educational reproduction that is deal with by sociology. The study is finished by an outline of possible strategies for Romany pupils education.
