abstract
This contribution is aimed at organizational learning and its application in schools. The characteristics, main preconditions, and forms of organizational learning are summarized, commenting on the concept of the learning organization and the conditions for its application in schools. Also examined is the question of organizational learning and school development, the relation between organizational learning and school culture, and some implications for the research and the educational policy.
