Acta Universitatis Carolinae Iuridica (AUC Iuridica) is a legal journal published since 1955, which presents longer essays as well as short articles on topics relevant for legal theory and international, European and Czech law. It also publishes works concerning current legislative problems.

Although intended primarily for domestic audience, AUC Iuridica is useful also for foreign experts, who can take advantage of summaries in foreign languages (English, German and French) and key words, which are systematically added to the main articles and essays.

The published articles are subject to peer reviews. If necessary, reviewed texts are sent back to the author for revision.

AUC Iuridica accepts contributions from any contributor on any current legal topic.

The journal is registered in the Czech National Bibliography (kept by the National Library of the Czech Republic) and in the Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals (kept by the American Association of Law Libraries).

The journal is archived in Portico.

abstract

The Application of Selected Procedures in the Practise of the House of Deputies This article describes the simplified revision procedure (Article 48 paragraph (6) TEU) and its application by the Chamber of Deputies. For a better understanding of this process, the article applies this procedure to the amendment of Article 136 of the TFEU regarding the European Stability Mechanism. The second part of this article deals with the flexibility clause (Article 352 TFEU) and deliberation of drafts based on this legal regulation. The Chamber of Deputies is involved in the both of these processes, as it needs to express prior consent. Without the consent of the Chamber, the Czech Republic may not vote on a decision in the European Council when deciding on the amendment of the provisions pursuant to Article 48 paragraph (6) of the TFEU and in the Council when deciding on appropriate measures to attain the objectives laid down in the founding treaties of the European Union pursuant to Article 352 of the TFEU.
