Abstract
ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) is a treatment method for severe psychiatric patients, especially for schizophrenic people who cannot live in the community without this support. It offers not only the regular visit, but also the on call service 24 hours per 24 hours. This paper analyzes with a phenomenological method interviews with a nurse who works with a team of ACT in Japan. Through the analysis, we describe how a support and eventually a cure of schizophrenic patients can be achieved with this method. From the philosophical standpoint, we try to describe how our liberty and subjectivation can be achieved in a community and how this liberty (of the patient and of the nurse) is based on the desire. Schizophrenic patient can realize their desire outside the normativity imposed by our capitalist society and this subjectivation through the accomplished desire is supported by the practice of the nurse. Escaping from the disciplinary power, they show a new type of the liberty.
