How does the past take shape in the spaces we inhabit, imagine, and create? Mapping Memoryscapes: New Research Perspectives explores the dynamic relationship between memory and place across material, social, and cultural landscapes. Bringing together interdisciplinary research by emerging scholars from a range of academic backgrounds, the volume examines how memories are produced, contested, transformed, and inscribed in urban spaces, political discourse, social practices, oral-history accounts, art, theatre, and literature.
