abstract
This article is a reflection about relationship between mesolithic population and the world around them, and also about the possibilities how can archaeology trace this relationship. This article presents chosen interpretations from authors doctoral thesis. There are presented several concepts how hunter-gatherers could understand their place in the world around them. After theorethical introduction there are presented some ideas where we could see some traces of this relationship in archaeological record. Finally there are some concluding remarks as a summary of what do we know about relationship of mesolithic people and space around them in central Europe.
