Země na hranici

The Country on the Border presents a selection of prose by fourteen contemporary Estonian authors who have thus far been unjustly overlooked in the Czech Republic. It offers Czech readers a unique opportunity to gain insight into current developments on the Estonian literary scene. The book features excerpts from novels and novellas that reflect the experience of occupation and a bilingual environment, as well as a diverse range of short stories, experimental texts, and prose with psychological elements that blend unconventional humour with reflections on history.
The anthology was compiled and edited for publication by Anna Sedláčková.
