In this book, Bedřich Moldan, a geochemist, journalist, politician, and most importantly prominent Czech environmentalist recapitulates his professional career, his work as a scientist and a politician, and his activities in environmental diplomacy. However, he does not avoid personal topics either, discussing how he has been shaped and inspired throughout his life by woodcraft principles and Christian philosophers, or talking about his family, which has always represented a guarantee of basic stability and a strong support for him. The interview with Bedřich Moldan was conducted by journalist and science popularizer Eva Bobůrková. The concluding part of the book contains a selection of texts by Bedřich Moldan that are referred to in the interview or that aptly illustrate the facts described in it. The book is a narrative of the journey of a man who has dedicated his entire life to the protection of the planet.
