abstract

The work summarises the knowledge of the development of ceramic floor tiles on the territory of the Czech lands in the Middle Ages. Attention is devoted particularly to a group of Romanesque relief floor tiles unique in Europe, further then Gothic floor tiles. The questions of chronology are discussed, primarily based on the archaeological sources.
