Husitská revoluce II

The second volume of the third expanded and revised edition of Husitská revoluce brings together the third and fourth volumes of the previous editions. During the past several years, research has advanced considerably in some areas, making it necessary to revise or edit the original version wherever desirable or necessary. The sixth chapter of the whole series recounts the development of the reform efforts from their beginnings in the time of Charles IV to the struggles over the parsonages and the mountain pilgrimages in 1419. The following two chapters present a chronicle of the revolutionary events. The seventh chapter covers the anatomy of the conflict up to 1426, and the eighth chapter focuses on the rule of the radical factions until the accession of King Sigismund of Luxembourg to the Bohemian throne. The last chapter is devoted to the consequences, reactions, and prospects of the early Bohemian Reformation. The reader will also find new insights and additions in the notes and the index of literature and sources.
