summary
This monograph focuses on gender aspects in language, examining the influence of the gender factor on phraseology of three related languages, Belarusian, Polish and Czech. The scholar analyzes language material from linguistic, cultural and sociological perspectives. In her research, she studies formal similarities and differences between these languages, mainly focusing on discovering different and similar features in the perception of men and women, their nature and behaviour in three Slavonic cultures. Based on the classification and evaluation of the collected material, she offers a detailed description of the concepts of "man" and "woman" in phraseology. Among other issues, she addresses the question of whether we can speak about eclipsing women in language on the phraseological level and to what extent this phenomenon is influenced by social factors as opposed to purely linguistic ones.
