Poetika postmodernismu

First published in 1988, A Poetics of Postmodernism is a pivotal study by Linda Hutcheon. In her discussion of postmodernism as a phenomenon, focusing especially on historiographic metafiction, the author draws on previous theories of postmodern architecture. She does not defend or denounce postmodernism; her aim is to establish a model of postmodern culture that would show its self-reflection, parody, and efforts to be embedded in history, all this in a situation in which culture is not coming to its end but is being questioned and undermined from within.
