Interdisciplinary journal focusing primarily on sociological, political science and historical perspectives on the issue of long-term social processes and trends, modernization, globalization tendency and impacts.
The journal creates a broader platform for researches in the historical social sciences. Epistemological field is not strictly bounded, it is also meant to overlap with civilizationalism, cultural sociology and other related fields.
Historical Sociology is Open Access Journal and all published papers are available in the archive section. Open access journal means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or institution. [The Beginnings of Motor-tourism in Slovakia in the First Half of the 20th Century]

abstract
A car belonged to the lifestyle of only a tiny minority of people in Slovakia after the establishment of Czechoslovakia. However, the number of car aficionados grew steadily during the interwar period. This development did not diminish even during WWI, although the majority of private cars were confiscated for the army. Car users were bound by several restrictions, which significantly limited their mobility. Even the services of professional drivers were hardly helpful. The road infrastructure was utterly inadequate. The main tourist destinations, as the most perspective trip destination for drivers, were not prepared for cars. As a result, instead of a relaxing event, the care drive was often a tiresome experience.
