abstract

Our purpose is to rethink on a new basis the specificity of phenomenology. At first, we will present some fundamentals pertaining Husserl’s mereology, and, consequently, the idea of a mereological reduction. Indeed, the phenomenon, against what has currently been sustained, is an articulated whole whose intensity and richness are matched by its purity. The purity of the “pure” phenomenon has nothing to do with some “abstraction”. It is with this coalescence in mind that we return to the final clause of the “principle of all principles” (Ideen I, §24), which has often been misinterpreted as a limitation of phenomenality whereas it leads, nevertheless, to a magnificent freeing of its very richness. Remaining faithful to the final clause of the Principle of all principles discloses the richness of the phenomenological realm. We will provide a mereological interpretation of what it means to follow the Principle of all principles and its final clause.
