abstract
The concept of the “world” is of great importance to Eugen Fink’s philosophy and comes into play on all sides. In the following considerations, the aim is to reveal its phenomenological meaning. On the one hand, this will make it possible to work out Fink’s original contribution to a phenomenology of the world and, on the other hand, to clarify Fink’s specific phenomenological position (in his debate with Husserl and Heidegger). In doing so, it will become clear that his “cosmological” approach mediates aspects of “phenomenalization” and “ontogeny” (or “ontogenesis”).
