Book Launch: Macro-regions of the World

The publication Makroregiony světa [Macro-regions of the world] presents the modern concept of regional geography and its instruction. The world is divided into ten relatively homogeneous macro-regions, which are based on the concept of American geographers. The evaluations of the macro-regions follow identical methodological steps. It follows natural conditions, historical connections and population characteristics, as well as the economy and current specific phenomena both in the global and regional contexts. Similarly, the book presents partial geographical parameters of specific major countries and their key issues.

The book launch took place on April 1^st, 2019, in Karolinum.
