summary
How does the Catholic Church communicate in an age of digital technologies, social media, and steadily declining trust in religious institutions? How can it reach the public through the media today? This book by Tereza Zavadilová focuses on the reform of Vatican Media that began in 2015 during the pontifi cate of Pope Francis as part of the gradual transformation of the Roman Curia. Based on interviews with employees of the Dicastery for Communication and an analysis of the content of Vatican media, the author examines whether this reform has truly led to the modernization of Church communication and to strengthening the credibility of the Catholic Church.
