The textbook clearly introduces the nomenclature of organic compounds to the extent necessary especially for students of the Pharmacy Faculty of Charles University. It includes the nomenclature of hydrocarbons and heterocyclic compounds as well as nomenclature based on other hybrids. It presents nomenclature principles, functional derivatives, the formation of names of organic compounds by computer, the nomenclature of spatial arrangements and the nomenclature of natural substances and also gives examples of some groups of compounds.
