summary
The text aims to examine the means of visual imagination under the assumption that they have been continuously being perfected structurally since their beginnings at the dawn of the humankind's visual expression through the influence of new media. The author proposes a model, within which the visual imagination can be understood as a decisive factor in visual perception, preconditioned on the social structural level by means of visual imagination that the society has at its disposal. In the spirit of this approach, we can see the development of visual expression as a growth, in which the revealed means are incorporated in further development into the structurally varied set of other visual elements on several structural levels. The scholar focuses mainly on the transformation of the visual structure brought about by the modern age and its consequences for contemporary understanding of the visual imagination perception within the new media.
