This book is based on three years of research among the sub-population of middle-aged homeless people in Prague. The text, whose content follows up the previous, popular monograph, Homelessness as an Alternative Existence for Young People, strives to examine how middle-aged homeless people understand the story of their life. How they understand their past, how they explain why and how they ended up on the street. What ideas they have about their future. It is the first research among middle-aged homeless people which offers a view of homelessness from the perspective of these people.
