Military swimming is part of the special physical training in the Army of the Czech Republic. It refers to a complex of information and skills needed to efficiently overcome obstacles in water while minimizing possible risks. This book, written by a group of leading instructors from the Army of the Czech Republic, explains theoretical concepts, such physical laws and hydrology basics, the danger of obstacles in water, methodological and educational principles in instruction. It also describes different activities that are part of military swimming, particularly, training to improve swimming skills, swimming in difficult conditions, rescuing a drowning person and other areas.
