This monograph reflects on the acceptance of foreigners in the light of Biblical texts, from which it draws impulses for ethical approach to the problem of migration in today's world. Reflections on hermeneutical methodology are followed by a comprehensive presentation of Biblical ethos of treating foreigners, while the third section provides an anthropological overview of the biblical foundations of the theme. The book aspires not only to provide reliable information on the attitude of the Old and New Testament people to foreigners and travellers, but mainly to invite ethically responsible considerations concerning the acceptance foreigners in the present day.
