summary
This work brings both documentary and theoretical reflection of the process of emancipation on which the foundations of modern Czech literature were based. Its distinctive concept, inspired by Kuhn's take on the paradigm, Ricoeur's hermeneutics and the reception aesthetics of the Constance School, places the issues of revivalist literature, especially in its relationship to German culture, into new light. In the book, readers will find a number of references to academic literature and also to sources from that era. The book is appropriate for a wide range of readers, literary historians, comparatists, students, and thanks to the readability of the explanations, also for interested lay readers.
