Ústavní text v unijním kontextu explores the changes in the constitutional regime of the Czech Republic arising from its membership in the European Union. It seeks to shed light on the Europeanisation of Czech constitutional requirements, the case-laws of Czech and EU courts contingent on European integration, legal regulations of constitutional texts, emerging constitutional habits, informal political practice, and the transformation of Czech constitutional institutions. The book is a survey of the Europeanised Czech constitution as it stands twenty years after the Czech Republic’s integration into the EU, the individual chapters covering the changes in the behaviour of the key Czech constitutional players (government, ministries, president, parliament, courts), the transformation of constitutional institutions influenced by European integration only to a limited extent (territory, population), and the implications of EU membership for the Czech diplomacy and international agreements entered into by the Czech Republic.
