Praktická fonetika vietnamštiny

This publication is conceived as a textbook for beginning students of Vietnamese, although it will be useful to anyone who is interested in the Vietnamese language. The texbook has two equally extensive complementary parts. The first part contains data on the Vietnamese language and its dialects, a theoretical description of the phonetic structure of Vietnamese, the relationship between the sound and graphical levels, including its transcription. The practical part of the textbook then provides systematic and exhaustive material to practice all sounds, tones and syllable combinations, that is in fact the entire sound system of the Vietnamese lexicon. The exercises are complemented with recordings.
