Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has been arguably the gravest challenge to the European security since 1945. It not only constitutes an attack on the fundamentals of the international rules-based order; it also reposes anew the question of how far the offensive ambitions of Russia’s present regime extend. This book seeks to illuminate the wider ramifications of Russia’s latest aggression, while providing an analysis of the situation in Ukraine with respect to the ongoing armed conflict after 2014.
