This monograph is the first to present work of the Erlangen-based systematic theologian Friedrich Mildenberger. His Biblical Dogmatics in three volumes, which the scholar extensively explains and comments on, combines biblical science with dogmatic query and strives for an apt understanding of the Scripture in ecclesiastical practice. In Mildenberger’s „simple talk about God,” the church commits to discuss the truth that is materialized in life rather than a theological context. Mildenberger’s work, unknown in the Czech environment, stands out in the 20th-century German theology for its radical nature, interdisciplinarity and ideological consistency.
