Christologie a soteriologie Matthiase Josepha Scheebena a jeho vliv na světovou a českou teologii

The reader holds in their hands the very first treatise in the Czech language whose primary subject of interest is the dogmatic-theological work of the great 19th-century German thinker M. J. Scheeben. The monograph focuses on two main objectives: to present the dominant themes of Scheeben’s Christological-soteriological reflection and to explore the reception of the Colognian theologian’s legacy by Czech dogmatic theology. For instance, it shows that Scheeben continues to be an inspiration nowadays with his efforts to connect dogmatic theology with spirituality and his emphasis on the goal of Christian life, which consists in participating in the life of the Holy Trinity.
