Lidová výchova na přelomu 19. a 20. století

This publication by Jiří Pokorný deals with modern popular education in the Czech countries between the 1870s and 1920s. Emphasis is mainly put on the individual institutions of popular education, the development of public libraries, various educational societies, and the contents of educational lectures. In the first chapter the author gives an account of educational movement in Europe and the USA. The last chapter describes the beginnings of the films used for educational activities.
