Teoretická mechanika ve třech knihách

The book is a comprehensive and interrelated series of three volumes, constituting a modern textbook of theoretical mechanics intended especially for students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University.

The first volume deals with the classical interpretation of Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics of point masses, rigid bodies, and continua, the second one is an elegant presentation of these formulations in the language of coordinate-free differential geometry. The third volume provides a set of carefully selected standard problems for practice and exemplary solutions to them. It also discusses connections to quantum and relativistic theory.
