Les amalgames lexicaux en français contemporain

The book examines lexical blends in French – words formed by combining parts of several lexemes, such as franglais or courriel. Using examples from a corpus drawn from Wiktionnaire and the Néoveille tool for neologism tracking, the author provides a detailed analysis of their formal structure and morphological, phonological, and pragmatical properties. She makes use of existing typologies, adapting and extending them to analyze these word formations in different discourse types.
