For political reasons this book has been published with more than a twenty year delay, since the compltion of the manuscript. The authors focus on the foundation and initial development of the Communist International within 1919–1922. Gradual movements and changes of central bodies of Comintern and the foundation of communist parties in European countries are analysed. The publication presents the first ever critical description of the history of the foundation of the Czechoslovak communist Party along with a vast number of profiles of significant European and Czech communists.
