summary

Karl R. Popper and Thomas S. Kuhn have shown that researchers tend to seek out evidence that confirms the correctness of their hypotheses. This book examines the assumptions with which experts on Judaism approach the subject of their research, how they gather evidence, and how they interpret it. Based on an analysis of opinions about man’s mystical connection to God and Jewish theocracy, the author concludes that the findings of contemporary researchers are largely determined by theological assumptions.
