Diverzita a diferenciace v základním vzdělávání

This monograph aims to present the theme of equal education opportunities and quality of education as a highly important issue in the transformation of Czech schools. It focuses primarily on elementary education, particularly on the lower secondary level. It mainly emphasizes the discrepancy between the essential tendencies in education and the situation in the area of pupil diversity, individual needs in relation to the approach to instruction, the reality of differentiation and selective measures in schools. The monograph is based on the theoretical as well as empirical educational research also using approaches of the sociology of education and educational psychology.
