Sinice, řasy, houby, mechorosty a podobné organismy v současné biologii

This publication treats the organisms, whose existence is closely connected with a major part of the history of life on Earth and the beginnings of the environment that enables life. Most of the covered species belong among microorganisms that are part of the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of organic material production: we encounter them in the seas and in continental water, we fight them as causes of plants' diseases, they serve as a source of inspiration for medicine, food industry and modern biotechnologies. Green algae and mosses as the evolution beginning of the plant kingdom are treated in a separate chapter. Of the covered groups, the most numerous are fungi and similar organisms, which enter into the relationships and interact with organisms of all known kingdoms. The book is accompanied by numerous illustrations. It is intended for students of natural science faculties, colleges of forestry and agriculture, as well as anybody interested in this field.
