Integrative and disintegrative processes are in focus of many scientific disciplines and naturally open the door to many interdisciplinary research projects, in which historical aspects are closely related to economic, social, cultural and religious approaches. After all, this book is not supposed to be and cannot be a comprehensive overview and generalization of all types of integrative and disintegrative tendencies, but it presents different approaches and possibilities, which are included in this manifold and broad area. It pushes the theme further and offers a point of departure for exploring other contexts.
With this book, the scholars want to celebrate an important personal jubilee of historian Václav Drška from Kolín, who has been focusing on topics closely related to integration and disintegration all his life.
