In Searching for Meaning, the authors revisit what has accompanied them throughout the years of working on previously published books of their interviews: Is there a more general issue connecting all the legal, historical, and ethical topics? An issue like searching for the meaning of human existence and existence in society? Searching for meaning refers to the ability to distinguish between what transcends us and remains incomprehensible, and how we transfer this transcendence into our immanent world of culture, arts, or social conventions. The authors engage in a debate on these questions with zeal, which makes the book very readable despite its great ambitions.
