The Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Charles University, primarily focuses on presenting the variety of Central-European vegetation. The subtropical and tropical greenhouse areas feature typical (and useful) representatives of tropical and subtropical flora and vegetation, also including many other seed plant and fern families, important from the perspective of university instruction. The ourdoor areas, located mainly in the lower section of the garden, are set in a park environment of a terraced terrain.
A printed guidebook of the garden, available to the garden’s visitors again after more than fifty years, presents the essential information on important exhibits and other plant sets, also including information on the garden’s possible educational and scientific potential.
