summary
The COVID-19 pandemic was an absolute social phenomenon, a period of both urgent and less serious crises, and a time that can reveal a lot about how institutions and individuals respond to challenges, especially when viewed in hindsight. What have we learned about our society over these few years? Have we succeeded?
These questions, asked by historians, psychologists, and sociologists from the Czech Academy of Sciences, are presented in this book, the outcome of a collaborative research project on Czech society during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The book is a co-edition by the Institute of Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
